Judge Robinson was elected to General Sessions Court, Division I in 1990. He was re-elected to Division I in 1998. He served as Presiding Judge in 1994 –1995. From 1994 – 1999 Judge Robinson served as Judge of the Court of Judiciary. Judge Robinson is native of Nashville and a 1974 graduate of Goodpasture High School. Judge Robinson received his BS degree from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville) in 1980. He received his Law Degree from the Nashville School of Law in 1984. From 1985 to 1990 Judge Robinson practiced private law. Judge Robinson is married to Nancy (Oakley) Robinson, they have four children
Judge Robinson is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee General Sessions Judges Conference, American Bar Association, American Judges Association, the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge #271, Thirty-two Scottish Right Mason and in 1999 a was the Potentate of Al Menah Temple.
Judge Robinson received the Good Guys Award by Nashville Women’s Political Caucus in May, 2000. In October 1996 he was awarded the Jane Wheatcraft award from the Tennessee Task Force Against Domestic Violence.
