The Electronic Monitoring program offers alternatives to jail to the courts of Davidson County.  This program handles cases, both misdemeanor and felony, for all levels of the judicial system either at pre-trial or post-trial disposition.  By use of a dedicated land telephone line and radio frequency transmitter clients can be given a schedule of home detention commensurate with the seriousness of the offense and be monitored for compliance of the schedule.  Serious infractions of schedules are brought immediately to the referring court’s attention.
