One of Judge Robin Kimbrough Hayes’ goals is to increase education about the court system. Judge Hayes has created Court Officer of the Day to invite children starting at age 7. Although the program is designed for children of all ages, adults are welcome to serve who want to learn more about what happens in court. As Court Officer of the Day, you will have the opportunity to open court, pass documents, and of course hit the gavel. You will also get to meet with Judge Hayes, learn about what she does as the judge, and visit with other system people. You will leave with a picture with Judge Hayes, a community service letter, and a certificate for your service. Participants are asked to arrive at 8:30 AM, and it is about a two-hour commitment.
