Thank you for your interest in participating with our next Beautification Project in Bordeaux North Nashville!!

On Saturday, September 9, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. we will start registering participants at the McGruder Family Resource Center located at 2013 25th Ave. North, Nashville, TN 37208.  Please arrive before 9:00 a.m. to be properly accounted for.

At 9:00 am sharp, participants will watch a safety video and receive their safety vests, gloves, and any other equipment/supplies needed. We will also assign specific duties and routes for the CSW during this time.

From 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, we will start transporting participants to designated locations for the 4-hour CSW along the 3 Adopt-A-Highway routes picking up litter, removing weed debris and doing some light landscaping (weeding, raking, etc.). We will be working near busy streets and potentially hazardous litter. All volunteers will watch a safety video prior to starting work about best practices for handling these situations.

Afterwards, all participants will receive a signed certificate of completion for 4 hours from Judge Rachel L. Bell.  In, 2013, Judge Bell, the Music City Community Court and the Bordeaux North Nashville Chamber of Commerce entered into a partnership with TDOT to adopt several highways in the Bordeaux/North Nashville area to help keep this typically under-served area clean and beautiful. To date, the court has conducted 31 clean-ups, with 1,387 volunteers and a total of 6,631 volunteer hours, which have saved the Nashville taxpayers over $147, 247.54 in the last 13 years.

Please adhere to the following Safety Precautions: Pre-watch the volunteer orientation video (see link below), adhere to safety guidelines regarding closed toe shoes, safety vest, gloves, staying out of the road and keeping eyes opened, and maintain minimum contact with hazardous litter/materials such as broken glass or bottles containing unlabeled fluids/chemicals.
